Empowering your life

Once you know how to empower people, how to motivate and inspire them, they will want to work with you to help you achieve your goals in everything you do. Your ability to enlist the knowledge, energy and resources of others enables you to become a multiplication sign, to leverage yourself so that you accomplish far more than the average person and in a far shorter period of time.

There are three types of people that you want to and need to empower on a regular basis. They are, first of all, the people closest to you: your family, your friends, your spouse and your children. Second are your work relationships: your staff, your coworkers, your peers, your colleagues and even your boss. Third are all the other people that you interact with in your day-to-day life: your customers, your suppliers, your banker, the people with whom you deal in stores, restaurants, airplanes, hotels and everywhere else. In each case, your ability to get people to help you is what will make you a more powerful and effective person.

Empower means “putting power into,” and it can also mean “bringing energy and enthusiasm out of.” So the first step in empowering people is to refrain from doing anything that dis-empowers them or reduces their energy and enthusiasm for what they are doing.

The deepest need that each person has is for self-esteem, a sense of being important, valuable, and worthwhile. Everything you do in your interactions with others affects their self-esteem in some way. You already have an excellent frame of reference to determine the things that you can do to boost the self-esteem and therefore the sense of personal power of those around you. Giving them what you’d like for yourself. Each and every day empower someone with Energy and change there life.

Networking What are the Benefits

Most people believe that finding a new job can be done very easily. They couldn’t be more wrong. Job seekers tend to believe if they utilize recruiting firms or post their resume on job boards like monster, and career builder that the employer will come to them. In reality the best way to find a new job is to utilize your current network of friends, co-workers, and other affiliates.

Networking is the leading way to obtain a new job, and also a way to expand your business knowledge. The key to networking is you need to take initiative and advantage of every situation. Also another key component to networking is refining your communication skills.
There are some easy steps to follow:

1) Remain connected to everyone you know and respect. Although they might not be able to assist you at this present time, but somewhere down the road they could eventually assist you or even know someone who can help you.
2) Where ever you go talk to people this not only will help you build your conversational skills but also can give you leads. Talk to people when standing in a checkout line, or on a crowded bus or subway. You never know that the person you are standing or sitting next to might have your dream job.
3) One simple question you need to learn “So, what do you do?”. This question alone can lead you down so many interesting paths and spawn off additional conversations.
4) Learn how to become a good listener. Once you ask a question listen and pay close attention to the answer this will help you.
5) Practice, Practice, and Practice your own approach to someone. Each individual is different not all approaches will work.
6) When asked the question what do you do? Be prepared to answer with up to date information about yourself. Also carry around your business card, and practice handing it out to people.
7) Body language, and the way you present yourself help make you either approachable or unapproachable. Practice your speaking skills speak calmly, and be confident. If you come off questioning your own thoughts you will not be taken seriously.
8) Join network clubs like LinkedIn.
9) Always follow up on any hits you may have gotten. Even though it may not be the job you want by keeping the lines of communication open with others it may help in the future.
So in conclusion, networking can help you land your dream job. It’s not difficult but takes time to master. You may be networking every day but not knowing you are. Take time out of your day to practice no matter where ever you are. Always take advantage of meeting new and exciting people, and be outgoing.
